The latest installment of WWE NXT saw high-flying drama, ruthless aggression, and enough reversals to make your head spin as Ethan Page secured his spot in the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. With a December 7 showdown at Deadline looming, Page joins Je’Von Evans, Wes Lee, and Nathan Frazer in the star-studded lineup. And who did he beat to get there? None other than Axiom, the human highlight reel himself.

The Match: A Spanish Fly, a Hurricanrana, and a Dive, Oh My!

This was no squash match, folks. Axiom and Page traded blows like two caffeinated kids playing WWE 2K24 on turbo mode. Axiom brought his aerial A-game, busting out a standing Spanish Fly and topping it with a second from the top rope. Near-falls abounded, but Page proved harder to pin than that one missing sock in your laundry.

Page, not one to be outdone, displayed his power, delivering a side slam on the top turnbuckle that left Axiom crumpled like last week’s booking notes. The finish? A reversal masterclass. Axiom countered Page’s avalanche Ego’s Edge with a hurricanrana but hesitated just long enough to eat a diving lariat for the 1-2-3.

Implications for NXT Deadline

Ethan Page now has his sights set on the Iron Survivor Challenge and, by extension, the NXT Championship held by Trick Williams. But let’s not forget the subplot: Axiom and his tag partner FrAxiom (yes, they really went there) might have some awkward locker room moments brewing, considering one’s heading to Deadline while the other’s heading back to catering.

What’s Next?

With one spot left in the Iron Survivor Challenge, the question remains: who will join the chaos? More importantly, will Axiom ever recover from this defeat—or at least find a clever pun for his revenge promo? Stay tuned!
