Pro wrestling’s favorite daredevil brothers, Matt and Jeff Hardy, have officially inked deals with TNA, solidifying their return to the promotion that helped catapult them to legendary status. After working on handshake agreements earlier in 2024, Matt Hardy confirmed in an interview with Sports Illustrated that the duo is now signed to one-year contracts with TNA, ensuring their presence until November 2025.
“We worked on a handshake deal all the way through to winning the titles and having the titles for a month,” Matt revealed. “It’s been a great relationship with trust between us and TNA management. Everything they said they were going to do, they followed through with. Everything we said we were going to do, we followed through with. It just feels right.”
Back in the Fold
Matt returned to TNA after his AEW contract expired, with Jeff joining shortly thereafter. Since then, the Hardys have been lighting up the TNA tag team division, reigniting the same spark that made them one of wrestling’s most celebrated duos.
“Jeff is really enjoying this run in TNA,” Matt said, reflecting on the nostalgia of a recent match in Fayetteville, NC, where they won their first major world tag titles back in July 1999.
Turning Back the Clock
The Hardys aren’t just back—they’re thriving. Fans have greeted their return with the kind of enthusiasm that makes Matt and Jeff feel like they’ve stepped into a time machine.
“It’s like we turned back time,” Matt said. “Everything’s clicking. We’re very happy with what we’re doing there, and we want to do what we can to help build TNA back into one of the top brands in pro wrestling.”
A Bright Future for TNA?
With the Hardys signed and determined to elevate TNA back to its former glory, the company looks poised to leverage its star power. The one-year deals also allow Matt and Jeff to work independent dates, making their TNA run a collaborative yet focused effort.
As their contracts kick off, all eyes will be on how much magic the Hardys can conjure in their latest chapter with TNA.
