On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, chaos erupted as Bayley stepped into Jade Cargill’s spot for the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. While Cargill was mysteriously attacked last week (by someone who apparently skipped the “no touching before WarGames” memo), Bayley joined the babyface squad and wasted no time stirring the pot.
The team of Bayley, Rhea Ripley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and IYO SKY hit the ring first, delivering confidence-filled trash talk despite Ripley admitting, “We’re not all besties, but we don’t have to be.” Clearly, team unity isn’t high on the priority list when you’ve got Ripley promising absolute brutality.
Then came the heel squad—Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LaRae, and Nia Jax—marching out with plenty of shade to throw. Jax, ever the drama queen, reminded everyone that Bayley once tormented Belair and that SKY betrayed her pal Bayley faster than a money-in-the-bank cash-in. Liv Morgan couldn’t resist stirring the cauldron, questioning how conveniently Bayley slid into the lineup.
But it wouldn’t be SmackDown without someone screaming, “I hate waiting!” Rhea Ripley’s battle cry launched the babyfaces into a full-on sprint to the stage, and fists were flying faster than a Twitter feud. Referees and officials swarmed in to separate the women, setting the stage for what promises to be an absolute melee at Survivor Series.
With alliances shakier than a folding table at a tailgate, this WarGames match is shaping up to be a soap opera with steel cages.
