Brace yourselves, WWE fans—a seismic shift in the commentary landscape is on the horizon. With Raw transitioning to Netflix in 2025 and SmackDown continuing to hold down the fort on traditional TV, both shows are reportedly getting fresh commentary teams to spice things up.

The New Voices of Raw

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee are set to reunite on Raw. That’s right, folks—the dynamic duo that turned headsets into flamethrowers is back, this time on Netflix. After a brief hiatus to tackle college football and run The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee is returning to WWE just in time to call more superkicks, slams, and shenanigans.

The Uncertain SmackDown Situation

Over on SmackDown, things are less concrete. Joe Tessitore, who has been the voice of Raw since September, is rumored to take his talents to Friday nights, with Corey Graves tagging along for the ride. However, WWE is keeping their cards close to the chest about SmackDown’s final lineup, with an official announcement still forthcoming.

And what about Wade Barrett? The Bad News broadcaster might find himself as a third wheel on one of the main shows or possibly heading back to NXT. Either way, Barrett fans can expect his trademark blend of biting wit and insightful analysis to continue somewhere in the WWE Universe.

What This Means for WWE Fans

This shake-up promises a fresh dynamic for 2025. Whether it’s McAfee’s high-octane energy paired with Cole’s legendary play-by-play or Tessitore’s smooth delivery alongside Graves’ snarky quips, fans are in for a treat.

Stay tuned for WWE’s official announcement regarding the new commentary teams—and in the meantime, let’s hope the only thing McAfee punts this time is a metaphorical football and not someone’s head.
