Monday night on “WWE Raw,” General Manager Adam Pearce decided to spice things up like a five-star chef, turning a heated one-on-one showdown between GUNTHER and Finn Balor for the World Heavyweight Championship into a full-blown triple threat by adding Damian Priest to the mix. Cue the drama!
GUNTHER kicked off the night with a promo that was part motivational speaker, part roast session, as he mocked Balor for being “Judgment Day’s backup dancer” and for holding his championship reign as long as a commercial break back in 2016. Things escalated quickly when Judgment Day swarmed to attack, only for Damian Priest to hit the scene and dish out some hard justice on his own teammates. The chaos peaked when GUNTHER dropped Priest like a bad habit with a thunderous clothesline, proving once again that he’s the landlord of Pain Town.
But the night wasn’t done with surprises. Backstage, as Judgment Day gloated about their power move, Adam Pearce sauntered in with the energy of a high school principal catching the cool kids skipping class. He informed Balor that Priest is joining the title match, turning it into what promises to be a barn-burner of a triple threat. Oh, and as if Judgment Day didn’t already have enough on their plate, Balor and JD McDonagh will now defend their WWE Tag Team Championships next week against the War Raiders—with the rest of Judgment Day banned from ringside. Ouch.
