AEW’s Friday night delight, “Rampage,” continues its farewell tour—but not with a bang, more like a whimper, as ratings plummet to new lows. Despite offering a packed episode on December 6 featuring top-tier action from the Continental Classic, fans seem to be tuning out faster than The Beast Mortos tapped out to Daniel Garcia.

The Numbers Don’t Lie (And They’re Pretty Grim)

According to Programming Insider, the December 6 episode managed a 0.04 in the 18-49 demo, a step up from last week’s jaw-dropping 0.03, but still the show’s lowest-ever rating in its regular Friday night slot. Ranking a distant 25th in primetime cable for the night, “Rampage” drew 177,000 viewers, which, while better than the preempted November 30 episode, is a sad chapter in the show’s ratings saga.

“Rampage” Tries to Go Out in Style

AEW is looking to sprinkle some holiday magic on the show’s final episodes before it’s permanently shelved due to its exclusion from the new Warner Brothers Discovery media rights deal. Here’s the lineup:

  • Winter is Coming – December 13
  • Holiday Bash – December 20
  • New Year’s Smash – December 27 (series finale!)

Despite its struggles, AEW plans to end “Rampage” with a festive flair, hoping themed episodes can squeeze out some last-minute goodwill—and maybe a few extra viewers.

Wrestling Fans Mourn… or Maybe They Don’t?

While hardcore fans will remember “Rampage” as a platform for breakout performances, high-caliber matches, and occasional Friday night bangers, many agree its time has come. With a crowded AEW schedule and new programming in the works, even Kazuchika Okada couldn’t dropkick these ratings back to life.

Farewell, “Rampage.” You were bold, brief, and mostly better than wrestling fans gave you credit for.
