Logan Paul is back in the headlines, but this time, it’s not for high-flying stunts or championship wins. On the latest episode of his podcast, Impaulsive, Paul casually claimed to be retired from WWE during a conversation about WrestleMania 41.
“I’m retired,” Paul said, brushing off the idea. “I’m a dad, bro.”
While the line had the conviction of a heel promo gone wrong—especially since he’d just been discussing his passion for wrestling in the present tense—it’s still making waves. Fans are speculating whether Paul is taking time off following his United States Championship loss or just trolling. Either way, the internet did what it does best: speculate wildly.
Enter Hangman Adam Page
Over on BlueSky, former AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page entered the fray with a sly dig at Paul, writing:
“I hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool.”
While Page didn’t name names, it doesn’t take a detective to connect the dots. Logan Paul’s use of Page’s signature Buckshot Lariat—a move Paul debuted at SummerSlam 2023—has been a sore spot for wrestling purists. Throw in a few other familiar moves, and it’s easy to see why Hangman decided to grab the mic, metaphorically speaking.
The Paul Problem
Logan Paul’s wrestling career has been polarizing from the start. While undeniably athletic and charismatic in the ring, his history of controversies—including his infamous 2017 forest video and accusations of crypto schemes—has made him a lightning rod for criticism. His WWE tenure has only added fuel to the fire, with fans divided over whether he’s a celebrity stunt or a legitimate wrestling talent.
For now, Paul’s “retirement” feels less like a career announcement and more like a throwaway line. But with Hangman Page throwing shade and fans dissecting every move (literally), the drama is sure to keep unfolding.
