The WWE is pulling out all the stops for the December 14 return of Saturday Night’s Main Event, reviving the spirit of the iconic 1980s series with some classic legends in tow. According to PWInsider Elite, fans can expect a star-studded night filled with throwback vibes and appearances from some of the most memorable figures in wrestling history.
Joining the already-rumored “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart are legendary names like:
- “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
- Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
- Koko B. Ware
- Tito Santana
And if that wasn’t enough, Jesse “The Body” Ventura is returning to the commentary table to remind everyone why he’s one of the most charismatic voices in wrestling history.
When Legends Walk Among Us
Each of these legends holds a unique spot in WWE lore:
- Jimmy Hart last graced WWE programming during the Raw is XXX special in early 2023, where he hyped the crowd alongside Hulk Hogan.
- Ted DiBiase also popped up during that episode, bringing his classic persona back alongside IRS.
- Tito Santana, meanwhile, hasn’t been seen in WWE since Old School Raw in 2010, while Koko B. Ware made his last significant WWE appearance during his Hall of Fame induction in 2009.
- And then there’s Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, whose last WWE appearance was all the way back in 2008, the night after Ric Flair’s emotional retirement.
Valentine did make a surprise cameo in AEW Dynamite in 2020, but now he’s heading back to familiar turf to once again stand tall under the WWE spotlight.
More Surprises in Store?
In addition to these living legends, fans are buzzing about the possible return of the iconic Winged-Eagle WWE Championship design, teased by Triple H himself. Add to this a night packed with title matches and nostalgia-driven segments, and Saturday Night’s Main Event promises to be a can’t-miss celebration of wrestling history.
