Horns up and chairs down! The War Raiders, Erik and Ivar, have officially stormed back into the WWE spotlight, defeating Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to capture the World Tag Team Championships in a chaotic WWE Raw main event.

After falling short last month thanks to Dominik Mysterio’s interference (Judgment Day: masters of shenanigans), the stakes were raised Monday night—no interference allowed. With Dominik and Damian Priest banned from ringside, Balor and McDonagh were left to their own devices. Spoiler: that didn’t go well.

From the opening bell, the Raiders did what Vikings do best—overwhelm and demolish. They tossed the champions around the ring like Balor and McDonagh were barrels of mead at a Norse feast. But Judgment Day, as always, found sneaky ways to claw back, delivering low shots and questionable tactics that had the referee looking like a helpless substitute teacher.

The climax came when Finn Balor, tired of getting tossed like pizza dough, motioned for McDonagh to grab a steel chair—because, naturally, when you can’t out-wrestle Vikings, you bring weapons. But before McDonagh could oblige, a mysterious figure intervened. In a shock twist, Damian Priest—yes, Judgment Day’s own Priest—appeared, stopping McDonagh in his tracks and leaving Balor wide open for disaster.

And disaster arrived in the form of War Machine. Erik and Ivar hit their devastating finisher, sealing Balor’s fate and ending Judgment Day’s 176-day title reign. Fans erupted as the Raiders claimed their third WWE tag team championship—an emotional triumph considering both men had recently returned from neck injuries so severe they’d nearly been counted out of the game entirely.

The victory wasn’t just another belt on the Raiders’ resume—it was a statement. WWE’s head honcho Paul “Triple H” Levesque took to social media to celebrate, posting a photo alongside the new champs with the caption: “To the edge of the cliff and back.”

What’s next for the Judgment Day? Questions loom after Priest’s betrayal and a shocking loss that sent shockwaves through the faction. But for now, Erik and Ivar reign supreme—Vikings atop the mountain once more, tag team gold in hand, and the WWE Universe chanting their names.

Skål to the champions!
