As 2025 looms, AEW fans have been buzzing about potential changes for Dynamite and Collision, especially with the shows set to air live on both cable TV and MAX streaming. Could these flagship programs stretch to a third hour of high-octane, headlock-filled madness? The answer from AEW President and promo enthusiast Tony Khan is as clear as a well-placed superkick: two hours it is.

Speaking during the Worlds End media call, Tony addressed the speculation with his trademark enthusiasm:

“Yeah that’s definitely the plan, thanks for asking, Jason. We are planning to continue with two hours of Dynamite on Wednesdays and two hours of Collision on Saturdays.”

Khan went on to highlight the occasional extended run times AEW fans have enjoyed:

“Every once in a while, TBS and TNT are very kind to give us an overrun of several minutes, and that can be great when there’s a really exciting main event or a huge moment… but generally it’s around two hours, and that is the plan going forward.”

Overruns: A Delicious Appetizer, Not the Main Course

AEW has occasionally pushed the boundaries of its two-hour window, with Dynamite sometimes running an extra 30 minutes. (Hello, caffeine-fueled Thursday mornings for East Coast fans.) While Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) has been flexible, even gifting AEW extended blocks due to preemptions, the focus remains on maintaining a streamlined, action-packed two-hour experience.

Three-Hour Show? Not Just Yet

Though Khan admitted the allure of a lucrative three-hour runtime is something he’s considered, it’s clear he’s playing the long game. And honestly, can you blame him? Nobody wants Collision to feel like a wrestling marathon where you’re begging for a commercial break just to stretch your legs.

The Takeaway

For now, two hours of Dynamite and Collision is the sweet spot. It’s compact, exciting, and ensures fans aren’t caught snoozing during an impromptu chin-lock segment in Hour 3. While a three-hour expansion could be a future possibility, AEW is smartly sticking to the mantra: “Leave them wanting more.”
