According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Moloney is nearing the end of his NJPW deal. The company is reportedly eager to keep him on board, especially given his prominent 2024 run. Moloney’s immediate focus remains on Wrestle Kingdom 19, where he and tag partner Clark Connors will compete in a chaotic Tokyo Terror Ladder Match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. They’ll face a star-studded field of challengers, including the Ichiban Sweet Boys, Catch 2/2, and the Intergalactic Jet Setters. Notably, Catch 2/2’s TJP and the Jet Setters’ Kevin Knight are also rumored to be nearing the end of their NJPW contracts, adding even more uncertainty to the division’s future.
Moloney’s NJPW journey began in 2023, initially aligning with Will Ospreay’s United Empire before defecting to the Bullet Club War Dogs under David Finlay’s leadership. Since then, he’s racked up two IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship reigns with Connors. Prior to NJPW, Moloney was a standout in the UK independent scene and a regular on WWE NXT UK from 2017 to 2021.
