Attention, European wrestlers: WWE is coming to London, and they’re not just here for the fish and chips. According to reports, WWE is planning a tryout for UK and European talents in early March, marking a major step in their global talent scouting efforts.

The WWE ID Program Goes International

Launched in late 2024, the WWE ID program was designed to streamline the scouting process for independent wrestlers. So far, it’s been as American as apple pie and steel chairs, with all announced participants hailing from the U.S. But it seems WWE is ready to expand the program’s reach, with London playing host to what could be a game-changing tryout.

While the exact dates are still under wraps, talents have until February 28 to throw their hats—or wrestling boots—into the ring. Promotions like Austria’s wXw, Ireland’s OTT, and the UK’s PROGRESS Wrestling are expected to be represented, bringing their best to the table (and hopefully not being put through one).

Who’s Next?

Previous European tryouts unearthed talent like Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Damian Corvin, though none have inked contracts yet. Will this year’s batch finally lead to some signings? Or will we be left wondering why WWE hasn’t scooped up Europe’s finest since Sheamus?

WWE’s European Invasion

The tryouts are conveniently timed with WWE’s European tour, running from March 14–31, leading right into WrestleMania season. Expect “SmackDown” in Barcelona, shows in Germany, Belgium, and Northern Ireland, and an international flavor for the Road to WrestleMania.

So, if you’re a European wrestler with big dreams, dust off your tights and hit the gym—your time to shine may be just around the corner.
