Folks, it’s Royal Rumble season, which means WWE fans are detectives now. Every cryptic tweet, every Instagram story, every slightly ominous emoji—it all means something. And today’s prime suspect? Alexa Bliss.
On Wednesday morning, Bliss posted a photo of herself holding her newborn daughter, Hendrix, with the message:
“If you need me. I’ll be here. For a while.”
Now, depending on your level of wrestling conspiracy theorist, this either means:
A) Bliss is absolutely returning at the Rumble and is just throwing fans off the scent.
B) Bliss is not coming back anytime soon because, you know, motherhood.
C) WWE and Bliss are still at a standstill over her contract, because wrestling negotiations are as unpredictable as a Bray Wyatt storyline.
Last week, reports surfaced that Bliss was set to return on the January 13 episode of Raw—but that all changed when WWE hit the pause button on her comeback. The hold-up? Contract disputes. WWE allegedly wanted to keep her on her old deal, while Bliss was negotiating for something better (as she should—because let’s be honest, she carried half of WWE’s women’s division at one point).
For now, Bliss remains off WWE TV—her last appearance being at Royal Rumble 2023, where she lost to Bianca Belair. Since then, she’s faced a skin cancer scare, got the all-clear, and welcomed baby Hendrix in November.
So will she show up at the Rumble? Maybe. Maybe not. But one thing’s for sure—we’ll all be overanalyzing her next tweet like it holds the key to the universe.
