Folks, let’s talk about it. Mercedes Mone, the self-proclaimed CEO of wrestling, defended her TBS Championship yet again, proving that money talks and challengers walk—usually flat on their backs. This time, poor Yuka Sakazaki found out the hard way that magic tricks don’t pay the bills when the boss is in town.

After pinning Deonna Purrazzo last weekend in a four-way match (because AEW loves a good traffic jam in the ring), Sakazaki secured a title shot against Mone in the first-ever AEW Dynamite main event to feature the champ. And folks, she put up a fight.

The 14-minute bout had it all—high-flying antics, near falls, and a moment where Sakazaki spun Mone like she was trying to win a stuffed animal at a carnival. But let’s be honest, if anyone was leaving with a prize, it was Mone. She delivered the Three Amigos, locked in her cross-face, and then powerbombed her opponent into oblivion before sealing the deal with the Mone Maker.

And Then… A Musical Challenge?

Now, you’d think the story ends there, but no, Harley Cameron decided to insert herself into the narrative—not with wrestling, but with a musical challenge for Grand Slam: Australia. Yes, instead of wrestling, she wants a sing-off. Because nothing screams “title contention” like karaoke night.

Mone, in classic CEO fashion, shut it down immediately, citing a little detail—Cameron hasn’t actually won a match on AEW TV. Ouch. Maybe Harley should try winning a match before grabbing the mic. Just a thought!

So, with another challenger down and a would-be singing superstar denied, who’s next for Mone? That’s the million-dollar question—and knowing AEW, it’ll probably be in a 12-woman ladder match with special guest referees and a surprise cameo from someone’s cousin. Stay tuned.
