Folks, history is being made, and not just because Tony Khan found a new way to hype a pay-per-view. For the first time outside of a global pandemic, AEW Double or Nothing is leaving Las Vegas—and heading to Glendale, Arizona. That’s right, the house that AEW built is packing up its chips and rolling into the Desert Diamond Arena on May 25, 2025.
This announcement, dropped via The Arizona Republic, confirms that Las Vegas’ streak is over. The event, which started it all in 2019, has mostly been a Sin City tradition (except for those weird COVID years when everything happened in Jacksonville). But with WWE WrestleMania 41 set for Allegiant Stadium in Vegas next year, AEW figured it was time for a new scene—one where blackjack tables won’t be stealing the spotlight.
AEW President Tony Khan, in full excitement mode (as always), had this to say:
“We put on the best pay-per-view events in the wrestling business. The fans in the Phoenix area have been so incredible for AEW… I had said after an amazing AEW event in Phoenix in the past that we would bring these great fans a pay-per-view event, because they deserve it.”
Translation: Tony keeps his promises.
Tickets drop on February 24, with a pre-sale on February 21. So, if you’re looking to witness AEW’s six-year anniversary extravaganza, now’s your chance.
One thing’s for sure—Vegas might be losing Double or Nothing, but Arizona is about to hit the jackpot.
