Tony Khan isn’t playing around. AEW has officially fired Bear Boulder (Thomas Wansaw) of The Iron Savages after news broke of his January 14 arrest for battery by strangulation.

According to reports, Wansaw was arrested in Florida after a violent altercation with his fiancée, who was left unconscious during the incident.

The Allegations & Arrest

📌 January 13 – Wansaw and his fiancée got into a verbal argument.
📌 Escalated to violence – He allegedly pushed her down and put his foot on her throat until she lost consciousness.
📌 5-10 minutes later – She regained consciousness and called 911.
📌 Prior history – Wansaw had been attending anger management classes for previous violent incidents.

Despite the severity of the situation, his fiancée did not want him jailed due to financial concerns.

AEW Acts Swiftly

📌 AEW fired Wansaw immediately after news of the arrest broke.
📌 He last appeared on ROH TV on January 16 (though the match was taped before his arrest).
📌 As of now, he is no longer with AEW or ROH.

Legal Update

📌 January 27 hearing – Court ordered “no hostile/violent contact” with the victim.
📌 Fiancée requested – The previous order to stay in separate residences was lifted.

Final Thoughts:
