Folks, some feuds are just matches—but this? This was cinema.

After months of betrayal, amnesia plots, 1980s fashion throwbacks, and blood-soaked vengeance, Toni Storm vs. Mariah May reached its violent conclusion at AEW Revolution in a Falls Count Anywhere war that left both women battered and AEW history books rewritten.

And while Storm retained her AEW Women’s World Championship, the real winner might just be the storytelling itself—something AEW writer RJ City took to social media to acknowledge, officially bidding farewell to this wild, unforgettable rivalry.

From Best Friends to Blood Feud

It all started last July, when Mariah May betrayed Storm, leading to an epic clash at All In at Wembley Stadium—where May shocked the world by winning the AEW Women’s Title.

Then came:

  • Storm’s bizarre amnesia arc—where she reverted to her rookie 1980s persona and acted like she had never won a championship before.
  • Mariah May attacking Storm, snapping her out of it and bringing back the full Timeless persona.
  • Storm regaining her title at AEW Grand Slam, setting up their final Hollywood-style showdown at Revolution.

And what a showdown it was.

A “Hollywood Ending” Covered in Blood

At Revolution, Storm and May left it all in the ring—and outside of it, on tables, through glass, and possibly in every nearby hospital.

The Falls Count Anywhere match wasn’t just brutal—it was a poetic ending to one of AEW’s greatest women’s feuds.

A storytelling masterclass.
A hardcore classic.
A rivalry that will haunt both women for the rest of their careers.

What’s Next?

Storm is still champion, but where does she go from here? May may have lost the battle, but is this really the last time we’ll see these two try to destroy each other?

If history has taught us anything, some rivalries never die.
