After officially retiring from in-ring competition last year, wrestling legend and forever-intimidating grandpa Sting is proving that retirement is merely a formality. Much like a Ric Flair farewell speech, it doesn’t actually mean he’s disappearing. Instead, the WWE Hall of Famer has announced his “2025 or Never” tour—a series of appearances where fans can meet him, get autographs, and reminisce about the good old days when he was scaring off nWo members from the rafters.
Sting, who has spent nearly four decades transforming from beach bro to vigilante goth dad, revealed on Instagram that the tour kicks off today at WrestleCon in Indianapolis. The man has 13 appearances lined up, including a major stop in Manchester, England, on February 15 for “For the Love of Wrestling,” before wrapping things up on November 9 at Rhode Island Comic Con. But the real kicker? This tour is supposedly the last time he’ll be seen in his signature black and white war paint. Which means we can fully expect a brand-new color scheme in 2026. Neon pink, perhaps?
Fans still get emotional remembering Sting’s farewell match, where he and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW Tag Team Championships against the Young Bucks at Revolution before politely vacating the titles, because defending them in retirement would have been a bit too much. The man walked away from AEW undefeated with a 28-0 record, proving that even in retirement, Sting plays by his own rules.
So, if you’ve ever wanted to shake hands with a legend, tell him how much his baseball bat meant to your childhood, or just witness the aura of a man who once no-sold a Hulk Hogan beatdown, the “2025 or Never” tour is your chance. But hurry—because after this, he’s definitely done. Probably. Maybe.
