Move over, Scooby-Doo, because WWE just dropped a full-blown masked mystery on us. Chad Gable, former Olympic wrestler and self-proclaimed “Master of Alpha Academy,” made his return to Rawbut with a twist. Instead of his usual singlet and catchphrases, he was decked out in a patriotic luchador mask that read “American Made” and, well… he definitely wasn’t there to make friends.

How to Ruin a Tag Match 101: The Chad Gable Edition

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee were in the middle of a fast-paced tornado tag match against The New Day when a mysterious masked man leaped the barricade like he had free front-row tickets for life.

  • First, he launched himself into the ring with a hurricanrana, taking out Dragon Lee.
  • Then, a flying headbutt, because apparently, lucha libre and chaos are best friends.
  • Mysterio rushed in to help, but Gable suplexed him into the apron like he was flipping pancakes at a Sunday brunch.
  • And just to make sure everyone knew it was him, he hit a German Suplex and threw up the infamous Gable “Thank You” hand sign.

As the clearly-not-Chad-Gable intruder was dragged away by security, The New Day capitalized on the madness to pick up the win. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston owe Gable a fruit basket.

Post-Match Denial: Gable Pulls a “Wasn’t Me”

Backstage, Cathey Kelley cornered Gable and confronted him directly about the attack. But in true “gaslight, gatekeep, grapple” fashion, Gable denied everything:

Kelley: “Why did you attack Mysterio and Lee?”
Gable: “What? That wasn’t me.”
Kelley: “The masked guy had your exact build. He did your exact moves. He even did your exact hand gesture.”
Gable: “Weird coincidence.”

Meanwhile, in the background, security was leading a man away— still wearing the “American Made” mask. Because nothing says “totally innocent” like your masked alter ego being dragged off by security while you pretend not to know him.

What Was in the Box?!

This bizarre twist didn’t come out of nowhere. Last week, WWE aired a cryptic vignette of Gable wandering the streets of Mexico, showing random people a photo. Eventually, a masked man handed him a box. Gable opened it, smiled, and then cut to black.

Now we know what was inside: a brand-new personality disorder and a vendetta against Rey Mysterio.

Final Takeaway

Chad Gable has either:
a) developed a full-blown luchador alter ego
b) started cosplaying as the world’s most violent mystery guest
c) entered his “Macho Libre” era, and we’re 100% here for it.

Either way, Mysterio and Lee won’t be forgetting this masked menace anytime soon.
