In a moment that was equal parts regal and petty, Charlotte Flair has officially chosen her WrestleMania 41 opponent—and poor Tiffany Stratton had no say in the matter.
Following Stratton’s grueling title defense against Nia Jax on SmackDown, which also featured a surprise cameo from Candice LeRae and a steel chair (now officially an accomplice), Flair strolled out with the confidence of someone who knows she’s the main character. Instead of a grand declaration, Flair decided to torment the broken champion like a rich girl bullying her rival in a teen drama.
“The Queen chooses you,” Flair sneered, like a sinister fairy godmother granting a wish that nobody asked for.
To make sure her dominance was felt, she yeeted the microphone near Stratton’s head—missing, but just barely. If intimidation had a handbook, Flair just rewrote it.
Now, barring any unexpected twists, Stratton will defend her WWE Women’s Championship in Las Vegas against the 14-time world champion. No pressure, right?
Stratton, who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on former friend Nia Jax back in January, has since made it clear that she wants to be champion. Unfortunately, being champion in WWE means you become a target—and in this case, the hunter is a woman who has main-evented more WrestleManias than Stratton has probably watched.
Flair is on a mission to win her 15th world title, because apparently, there’s no such thing as “enough” when you’re a Flair. WrestleMania history is on her side, but Stratton has youth, ambition, and possibly a steel chair with a vendetta.
Can Tiffany defy the odds, or will she simply be another addition to Charlotte’s championship scrapbook? We’ll find out in Vegas.
