Viva la nostalgia! Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and TNA Tag Team Champion Chavo Guerrero is heading back to TNA Impact for the first time since 2019, proving that wrestling retirements are about as real as steel chairs.
TNA Brings Back a Guerrero
On Tuesday afternoon, TNA officially announced that Chavo Guerrero will be appearing at the March 15 Impact taping at El Paso County Coliseum—which, let’s be honest, is the perfect location for a Guerrero comeback.
👉 “BREAKING: The legendary former two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion Chavo Guerrero is coming to #TNAiMPACT in El Paso on March 15 at the El Paso County Coliseum.”
This return comes just a month after Chavo wrestled Colin Delaney in AIW, marking his first match of 2025. And now, it seems like Chavo’s not done just yet.
Chavo’s TNA Run: Short but Sweet
Guerrero originally jumped to TNA in 2012 after a decade in WWE, where he teamed up with Hernandez to win the TNA World Tag Team Titles twice.
During his run, he battled names like AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, and Christopher Daniels, proving that being a Guerrero means you’re automatically a wrestling technician.
However, in 2013, Chavo left TNA to focus on acting, though he’s remained active on the independent scene, occasionally popping up to remind people that yes, he can still go.
Stacked TNA Weekend in El Paso
Chavo’s return is just one piece of a loaded TNA weekend in El Paso. Before the March 15 Impact taping, TNA will also present “Sacrifice” on March 14, with both events streaming on the TNA+ app.
Expect appearances from:
🏆 TNA World Champion Joe Hendry
🏆 TNA X-Division Champion Moose
🏆 TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (yes, those Hardys)
🏆 TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich
With Chavo stepping back into the TNA ring, the only question left is—will this be a one-off, or is he here to shake things up?
