Folks, let’s talk about strategy. Some wrestlers win with power, some win with technique, and then there’s Chris Jericho—who wins by rolling people up and running away like he just stole something.

In the main event of AEW Collision, Jericho successfully retained his ROH World Championship against Bandido. And if you were hoping for a definitive, clean victory—first of all, bless your optimism. Secondly, nope. Instead, Jericho snatched the win with a quick roll-up and then bolted like a man avoiding his bar tab.

Bandido, who’s been on a mission to chop down The Learning Tree (because apparently, trees can now be condescending), had Jericho in deep trouble all night. He survived a Codebreaker, escaped the Liontamer, and even landed a frog splash that had the crowd believing in miracles. But when he went for the 21-Plex, Jericho countered by rolling him up, scoring the pin, and escaping with his title like a man late for his own retirement party.

For those keeping track, this marks Jericho’s third title defense in his current reign, which has now lasted 123 days—because if there’s one thing he knows, it’s how to keep holding onto a belt just a little longer than expected.

Is this the end of Bandido’s quest for gold? Probably not. But if he wants to beat Jericho, he might need a new strategy—like, I don’t know, maybe rolling HIM up first?

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
