Monday Night Raw delivered a promo battle for the ages, as Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins took turns verbally smacking each other around like a couple of caffeinated podcasters debating who really deserves the spotlight. And the best part? The Rock wasn’t even there—just his ominous, soul-hungry presence looming over everything like an unpaid power bill.

Seth Rollins Is Not Here for Cody’s Rock-Flirting

Cody Rhodes opened the segment, presumably ready to explain why The Rock wants his soul like some kind of cinematic supervillain. But before Cody could get too deep into his philosophical monologue, Seth Rollins stormed out, looking like a man personally offended by every life decision Cody has ever made.

Rollins wasted no time expressing his disappointment, saying that he didn’t stand beside Cody last year just to see him consider teaming up with The Rock. In fact, the fact that Cody didn’t immediately slap The Rock in the face was, in Rollins’ words, “a slap in the face” to him. Apparently, Rollins wants a world where all Rock-related negotiations must begin with physical violence.

The Visionary then took things up a notch, asking if Cody was really about to become “Rock’s champion” in exchange for minor roles in Jungle Cruise 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Cody Fires Back, Calls Rollins’ Soul Discounted

Cody, never one to back down from a dramatic counterpoint, hit Rollins with the coldest comeback of the night: maybe The Rock didn’t come for Rollins’ soul because Rollins doesn’t have one left to take.

Now, that was already a rough burn, but Cody kept cooking. He reminded Rollins that he’s been a backstabber for years, from betraying The Shield to selling out to The Authority faster than a wrestler taking a Saudi payday. However, Rhodes also acknowledged that Rollins was his shield (pun intended?), his MVP at WrestleMania last year, which almost made it feel like a therapy session before the inevitable chaos.

Rollins Issues a Warning: “I’m Coming for Your Title”

Despite all the soul-snatching talk, Rollins made one thing very clear—he doesn’t care about Cody’s metaphysical journey; he cares about that championship. He vowed to win the Elimination Chamber and face Cody in the WrestleMania main event.

And just like that, we went from “existential wrestling crisis” to “I want your belt” in record time. Rollins might not be coming for Cody’s soul, but he is absolutely gunning for that title.

Final Thoughts: The Rock’s Shadow Looms Large

With The Rock’s cryptic message still unresolved and Rollins staking his claim for a WrestleMania showdown, Cody Rhodes is officially in the worst kind of love triangle—one where the prize is either a movie deal, a soul sacrifice, or getting curb-stomped by Seth Rollins.

Whatever happens next, one thing is clear: Cody better figure out his stance fast, because WrestleMania season waits for no man.
