In a story that has once again sparked outrage across the wrestling community, Chasyn Rance, a Florida-based wrestling trainer long known for his criminal history, has been arrested for allegedly violating the terms of his sex offender registration.

The arrest, first reported by journalist David Bixenspan of Babyface v. Heel, occurred on April 2, 2025, and is the latest chapter in a troubling saga that’s dragged on for over a decade. According to records from Orange County, Florida, Rance failed to comply with mandatory disclosure requirements for registered sex offenders, including:

  • Failing to disclose several websites he owns

  • Not reporting a change of vehicle

  • And facing three separate charges for allegedly providing false information

The charges stem from his conviction in 2010, when Rance pleaded no contest to lewd and lascivious behavior with a minor after allegations of sexual involvement with a 15-year-old girl. He has since remained a registered sex offender in Florida, yet remained surprisingly active in the wrestling scene.

🧨 Industry Ties That Won’t Go Away

The arrest has reignited conversation around why Rance continues to have access to the industry, with some of wrestling’s biggest names caught in controversy by association.

Just this past weekend, a photo of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T posing with Rance at Team Vision Dojo — the training school Rance operates — made the rounds online. The timing? Mere days before the arrest.

Booker responded quickly to the backlash:

“I take pictures with countless people in and out of the business and I’m not able to do background checks on them all.”

However, the Team Vision Dojo’s own social media previously documented multiple visits by Booker last year, making it hard to chalk this up as a one-off interaction.

🎭 This Isn’t a One-Time Mistake

This isn’t just about a single photo. Over the years, other high-profile names have crossed paths with Rance’s school:

  • Hulk Hogan

  • Ricochet

  • Kenny Omega, who once featured Rance on a show he produced, later apologized, promising to only book talent he knows personally going forward.

The repeated appearances by top-tier talent — even if unintentional — have many asking the same question: Why is this man still allowed near the business at all?

⚖️ Where Things Stand Now

As of this writing, Rance remains listed on the Florida sex offender registry, and is facing new legal consequences that could carry serious penalties if convicted. The wrestling world, already dealing with scrutiny over training culture and accountability, now finds itself once again answering questions it shouldn’t have to.
