In a multi-man brawl that felt more like a reality show eviction than a title match, Dominik “Dirty Dom” Mysterio pulled off the unthinkable and frog splashed his way to the Intercontinental Championship, pinning none other than Judgment Day teammate Finn Balor in the closing chaos of a match that featured Bron Breakker, Penta, Carlito, and the collective disbelief of everyone watching.
Breakker, living proof that protein shakes can gain sentience, opened by trying to fold Mysterio like a Vegas postcard. Dirty Dom took the first of many spears, but Balor broke the count, temporarily tagging back into the land of friendship before it all unraveled like a Judgment Day group text gone wrong.
Penta spiced things up with a Penta Driver and lucha chaos, but Carlito, who was apparently ringside just waiting to cause fruity mayhem, distracted Penta long enough for Mysterio to almost steal a rollup. Penta responded with a Mexican Destroyer to Dom so intense, his sins might’ve gotten re-baptized.
Then Carlito caught a spear from Breakker so vicious it launched him through the announce desk like he owed someone money in Puerto Rico. Still not finished, Breakker tried to erase Penta with another spear—at which point Mysterio went full telenovela villain and re-entered the ring like, “Did someone order a 619?”
Balor tried to stop Dom’s top rope ambitions, hitting Sling Blade and a Coup de Grâce on Breakker, and was this close to getting the win… when Dominik hit the ultimate double frog splash on both men and pinned Balor in front of a crowd that absolutely lost its mind.
