Folks, we’ve got some troubling news for all the Drew McIntyre diehards out there—according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, the Scottish Warrior is dealing with a knee issue just days before stepping into the Elimination Chamber. That’s right, the same match where six men are locked inside a giant steel structure and encouraged to commit legal assault.

Now, don’t panic—because McIntyre’s not about to pull a CM Punk and disappear for months. Meltzer reports that the injury isn’t serious, though McIntyre’s knee swelled up so badly that it had to be drained before SmackDown on February 21. Nothing says “ready for a grueling match” quite like needing medical intervention just to walk properly.

This isn’t the first time McIntyre has suffered for his craft. Just last October, he literally had his head cracked open by a toolbox during Hell in a Cell against CM Punk—because, apparently, Punk was channeling his inner Bob the Builder. The result? 16 staples to the skull. But McIntyre returned in December, proving once again that he might actually be too tough for his own good.

Now, the big question: Will WWE limit his involvement in the Chamber match? Or is McIntyre about to throw caution (and his knee) to the wind? Either way, he’ll have to survive Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Damian Priest, CM Punk, and John Cena inside one of WWE’s most unforgiving structures.

Meanwhile, McIntyre’s WrestleMania 41 plans have reportedly shifted. Originally, the plan was for him to feud with Damian Priest, thanks to some Royal Rumble betrayal. But with both men now on SmackDown, things may be going in a different direction. Could we be looking at a McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes showdown instead? Or is WWE about to pull a swerve bigger than Vince McMahon’s exit strategy?

One thing’s for sure: If Drew’s in the Chamber, someone’s getting Claymored.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
