Some people leave Royal Rumble with a WrestleMania main event spot. Others leave screaming and cursing into the night.
According to PWInsider, Drew McIntyre took the less celebratory route, allegedly storming out of Lucas Oil Stadium after being eliminated from the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble by Damian Priest. And not just stormed out—the report claims he was shouting, furious, and possibly setting a new Scottish decibel record backstage.
What Went Down:
✔️ McIntyre entered at #17 and immediately got into it with his greatest hits of enemies—CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn.
✔️ He held on until all 30 entrants were in, only to be eliminated by Damian Priest.
✔️ Something went wrong. Per PWI, McIntyre was heard backstage yelling that “someone had to get their moves in” at the expense of other storylines. (Translation: Somebody got selfish, and Drew wasn’t having it.)
✔️ He was out the door before the match even ended.
This isn’t the first time McIntyre has yeeted himself out of a WWE event—he reportedly stormed out of Survivor Series 2023 after CM Punk’s surprise return. Coincidence? Maybe. A pattern? Definitely.
With WrestleMania 41 on the horizon, will McIntyre cool off and get back on track? Or is he really done dealing with WWE’s current direction? Time will tell.
