Folks, it’s happening! WWE’s Class of 2025 is getting a little cooler as former Divas Champion Michelle McCool officially enters the Hall of Fame. And guess what? Her husband, a very tall, very spooky man named The Undertaker, was there to witness it. Some say he shed a single tear. Others say it was just sweat. Either way, history was made.
Two weeks ago, Triple H got his Hall of Fame surprise from The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Now, it was his turn to drop the bombshell, informing McCool of her well-deserved induction live on ESPN’s Get Up. “It’s long overdue,” Triple H told her. That’s Corporate Speak for: “We really should’ve done this sooner, but here we are!”
From Divas Search to Dominance
McCool’s journey to greatness started in 2004 when she competed in WWE’s Divas Search. While she didn’t win, WWE saw something special—probably her ability to wrestle and not roll an ankle in five-inch heels. She went on to capture gold, becoming the first-ever Divas Champion by defeating Natalya in 2008. A trendsetter in wrestling and coordinated ring gear.
But let’s not forget LayCool—the Mean Girls before Mean Girls wrestling factions were cool. Alongside Layla, McCool terrorized SmackDown, winning multiple championships, delivering brutal insults, and redefining what it meant to be a dominant duo. They had custom outfits, synchronized promos, and a level of confidence that could power an entire city.
The Undertaker’s Wife… But So Much More!
Some folks will say, “Isn’t she The Undertaker’s wife?” And to them, we say: Yes, and? While being married to a Deadman is impressive (imagine the Halloween decorations), McCool’s legacy is hers alone. She shaped the women’s division, bringing athleticism, charisma, and a mean Faith Breaker finisher to the table.
Since stepping away in 2011, McCool has popped up at WWE Evolution, multiple Royal Rumbles, and probably every Undertaker retirement ceremony (there were like…five of them). And now? She takes her rightful place among legends in the WWE Hall of Fame.
LayCool reunion at the ceremony? Fingers crossed.
