AEW’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament just got a little more cowboy, as Hangman Adam Page has officially entered the 2025 competition. That’s right—the man who once rode a horse into battle now saddles up for another shot at AEW glory.

Hangman’s Plan: Win “The Owen,” Get the Gold

During a backstage interview with Renee Paquette on AEW Dynamite, Page made it clear: he’s tired of being on the outside looking in. While half the AEW roster is busy scheming about how to pry the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley’s iron grip, Hangman is taking a more dignified approach—by legally earning his way to the top via the Owen Hart Cup.

And if you think this is just another tournament to him? Think again. Page came inches away from winning last year, making it to the finals after defeating Jeff Jarrett and Jay White, only to lose to Bryan Danielson. That one still stings—because Danielson went on to win the AEW World Title at All In London, a championship that Page could have been holding instead.

Ospreay vs. Page? It’s Getting Serious

Hangman won’t be walking into an empty bracket, though. Will Ospreay has also declared for the tournament, meaning the best bout machine from across the pond could very well be a roadblock in Page’s championship revenge tour.

With the Owen Hart Cup historically serving as a launching pad for AEW’s best (just ask Danielson, Adam Cole, and Ricky Starks), you can expect more heavy hitters to enter the mix soon. But one thing is for sure—Hangman is back in the saddle, and this time, he’s riding straight for the title.
