Jesse “The Body” Ventura is back, and this time, he’s trading TV sets for the podcasting world.

The WWE Hall of Famer, former governor, conspiracy theorist extraordinaire, and occasional human meme machine has officially relaunched his legendary talk show, The Body Shop, as a podcast—and he kicked things off in style with his first guest, none other than WWE’s Karrion Kross.

From Pro Wrestling to Podcasts (and Maybe Still Some Conspiracies?)

According to the show’s description, The Body Shop will feature:
Wrestlers 🤼‍♂️
Creatives & influencers 🎨💻
Activists
Cannabis culture 🌿 (because of course)

And most importantly, Ventura promised to “leave politics behind.” Which means we’ll (probably) be getting fewer rants about government mind control and more wild wrestling stories—so, you know, a fair trade-off.

Episode 1: Karrion Kross, Impressions, and the Return of The Body

Ventura’s first guest? Karrion Kross, the former two-time NXT Champion and a guy who could probably thrive in an actual Mad Max wasteland. Ventura hyped up the interview on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“Had a wonderful conversation with @realKILLERkross. Not only is he a supremely talented performer in the ring, but he also does quite an impersonation of, well, me. Haha.”

That’s right, folks—Karrion Kross apparently does a Jesse Ventura impression. And while there’s no word on how accurate it is, we can only assume it’s gravelly, intense, and sounds like a man who has personally arm-wrestled a UFO pilot.

Ventura on His WWE Return: “Maybe They’ll Frickin’ Retire Me”

Before diving into Kross’ career, Ventura took a moment to reflect on his recent WWE comeback. After signing a Legends contract last fall, Ventura returned to the commentary booth for the revival of Saturday Night’s Main Event in December and January—proving that even at 74, “The Body” still has plenty to say.

Speaking on The Body Shop, he had this to say about his WWE homecoming:

“You guys have been so terrific to me, all the talent. I couldn’t ask for more respect. I can’t tell you how wonderful the talent is toward me. You know? It’s been heartwarming.”

As for how long he plans to keep talking?

“Maybe for another year. I’ll turn 75 next year, maybe then they’ll frickin’ retire me, I don’t know [laughs].”

Where to Listen to The Body Shop

If you want to hear Ventura drop wisdom, Karrion Kross do impressions, and possibly a deep dive into the best strains for conspiracy theorizing, you can find The Body Shop on “Jesse Ventura’s Die or Quit” Substack.

And if The Body Shop keeps gaining momentum, who knows? Maybe we’ll get Jesse Ventura vs. Logan Paul in a podcast-off at WrestleMania.

Would you listen? Would you pay money for it? More importantly, does Karrion Kross do a better Ventura impression than Ventura himself?

Only time will tell.
