Folks, AEW Revolution ended in chaos, controversy, and a whole lot of choking.
Jon Moxley walked in as AEW World Champion, fought off Cope, Christian Cage, a surprise cash-in, a referee crisis, and a Wheeler Yuta betrayal tease, and somehow still left with the title. But not before Swerve Strickland literally flew from the heavens to make his intentions known.
Yeah. It was that kind of night.
Moxley vs. Cope: A Brutal War with a Side of Shenanigans
Moxley came in alone—because when you’re Jon Moxley, friends are optional, but violence is mandatory.
The match started as a brawl, transitioned into a technical dissection of Cope’s neck, and then fully descended into madness.
💀 Cope fought through the pain, hitting an Impaler DDT and a superplex.
💀 Moxley answered with a Paradigm Shift and a brutal Bulldog Choke.
💀 Cope hit THREE Spears—but before he could pin Mox, Christian Cage struck.
That’s right, folks—Christian Cage saw an opportunity and took it, cashing in his title contract from All In London.
The Cash-In: Christian Cage Tries to Steal the Gold, Gets Choked for His Troubles
With the match now officially a triple threat, Christian wiped out Cope with a spear and a Killswitch, nearly stealing the win.
But Moxley, furious and running on pure desperation, jumped on Cage’s back and locked in a Bulldog Choke.
💀 Cage, refusing to die, accidentally almost pinned Cope while trying to escape.
💀 Moxley, realizing the danger, cranked up the pressure.
💀 Cage had no choice—he passed out.
Moxley retains. End of story? Not even close.
Swerve Strickland Enters the Chat (From the Sky)
As Moxley left through the crowd, Prince Nana appeared, warning him that Swerve Strickland was coming.
- Moxley squared up.
- Security swarmed.
- And then, from out of NOWHERE—Swerve Strickland hit a death-defying Swerve Stomp from the BALCONY.
With Moxley, security, and probably half of Los Angeles flattened, Swerve screamed into the camera: “AEW IS MY HOUSE!”
And just like that, Revolution faded to black with a new challenger standing tall.
Final Thoughts: Moxley Retains, But For How Long?
Moxley survived absolute madness to retain his title—but now, he has a fresh problem in Swerve Strickland.
And judging by how things ended, Swerve isn’t just coming for the title—he’s coming to make a statement.
