In an AEW debut that screamed “plot twist!” louder than a telenovela finale, Josh Alexander finally arrived on Dynamite, got cradled like a sleepy toddler by Hangman Page, and then—surprise!—turned heel so hard he might’ve dislocated something.
Debuting as the Wild Card entrant in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, the former TNA World Champ brought his signature “Walking Weapon” intensity to the squared circle, almost landed his C4 Spike, nearly snapped Hangman’s ankle like a breadstick, and then got rolled up tighter than Tony Khan’s travel itinerary.
But wait, there’s more.
After the match, Kyle Fletcher and Don “I Swear I’m Not Recruiting, But Yes I Am” Callis slithered into the scene. As Page and Fletcher had the ol’ classic AEW “tense man stare-off,” Callis whispered something in Josh Alexander’s ear—something clearly evil and possibly gluten-free—because Alexander IMMEDIATELY turned around and wrecked Hangman from behind.
One minute you’re debuting. The next minute you’re wrecking cowboy souls and possibly onboarding into The Don Callis Family™—complete with gaslighting, betrayal, and matching jackets.
Is Josh officially in the Callis cult? Unknown. But judging by the Callis smirk, the Fletcher stomp party, and the camera’s slow zoom, the odds are looking heelish.
