Karrion Kross isn’t just here to tick-tock in WWE—he’s making movies now, too. The former NXT Champion and current WWE Raw star just dropped the trailer for his first short film, Blue Evening, and folks, it’s looking moody, intense, and possibly filled with more destruction than a Kross jacket.
WHAT’S THE MOVIE ABOUT?
The 1-minute, 19-second trailer introduces us to Kross’ mysterious character, who seems to be involved with a struggling man trying to turn his life around through art (because let’s be honest, nothing screams “redemption arc” like fine paintings and deep stares).
🚬 A man battling addiction
📚 A library, a woman, and a mysterious book on art
🎨 A rare painting for sale
💰 Kross’ character steps in to help—but only if the man stays clean
So basically, it’s a story about second chances, struggle, and—knowing Kross—probably a few cryptic monologues along the way.
KROSS ISN’T JUST ACTING—HE’S EXECUTIVE PRODUCING, TOO
In the comments on X (formerly Twitter, still a wild place), Kross confirmed that he’s not only starring in the film, but also serving as executive producer. That means he’s calling the shots behind the scenes, much like he does when he and Scarlett cut eerie, smoke-filled promos on WWE TV.
The film, written and directed by Jett Jansen, will be making its way to international film festivals, and Kross promises a special LA screening date coming soon. So if you ever wanted to watch Karrion Kross in a tense drama and feel fancy about it, your chance is coming.
WRESTLING + HOLLYWOOD: THE PERFECT MATCH?
With WWE stars crossing over into movies more than ever, could this be the start of something big for Kross? John Cena went from “Ruthless Aggression” to Fast & Furious, and Batista went from “Animal” to Drax the Destroyer—so who’s to say Kross won’t be leading an action-thriller in the next few years?
All we know is that if this movie doesn’t have at least one scene where Kross dramatically whispers “Fall and pray”, we’ll be slightly disappointed.
