Folks, Kid Kash is back. After eight years on the sidelines, the ECW, TNA, and WWE veteran has announced that he is coming out of retirement and taking independent bookings. Because let’s be honest—wrestlers retire like Ric Flair stays retired.
Kash took to X (formerly Twitter) to make the announcement, explaining that after years of injuries, surgeries, and rehab, he’s finally healthy and ready to step back in the ring.
“I retired in 2017 due to mounting injuries and reoccurring fast injuries that at that point just needed to be treated, healed, and rehabbed. Over the years I’ve had the replacement surgeries and rehabbed that my body desperately needed. I’m announcing that I am now accepting bookings.”
That’s right—at 55 years old, Kid Kash is ready to throw hands again.
A Look Back at Kash’s Career
- ECW Legend: Kash rose to fame in ECW in the late ‘90s, winning the ECW World Television Championship and pulling off highlight-reel moments that still circulate today.
- TNA Standout: After ECW folded, Kash became a TNA X-Division Champion and a two-time NWA Tag Team Champion alongside Dallas (a.k.a. AEW’s Lance Archer).
- WWE Cruiserweight Run: Kash joined WWE in 2005, won the Cruiserweight Championship, and then promptly got fired for smoking backstage—because, well, WWE in the mid-2000s was like that.
- Multiple Returns to TNA & Indies: After WWE, Kash bounced back to TNA, the independent scene, and basically every promotion that would let him do a moonsault.
What’s Next for Kid Kash?
Now, after eight years away, Kash is ready to lace up the boots again. But the big question is: Who’s first? Will he make a big indie splash? Show up in IMPACT again? Or, in true “never say never” fashion, will he pull a shocking return to WWE or AEW?
Either way, one thing is certain—Kid Kash isn’t done just yet.
