For the first time in years, a Royal Rumble match came and went without Kofi Kingston doing something gravity-defying to avoid elimination. And judging by his post on X (formerly Twitter), he was NOT happy about it.

A Historic Streak Ends

📌 Kofi has competed in 16 Royal Rumbles between 2009 and 2024 (including Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018), only missing one in 2021 due to injury.
📌 His 16 appearances tied The Miz for the second-most Rumble matches ever (only behind Glen Jacobs’ 20).
📌 Instead of Kofi delivering the annual “how is this legal?!” Rumble moment, that spotlight went to Logan Paul, who Spider-Man’d his way around the announce table to survive elimination.

The Timing Couldn’t Be Worse

Kingston’s absence might have been a blessing in disguise, though—because the fans weren’t exactly clamoring to see him.

📌 He and Xavier Woods are currently deep in WWE’s bad books after betraying Big E in December 2024.
📌 Kingston & Woods turned on their longtime friend, blaming him for abandoning them after his three-year absence due to a broken neck.
📌 The backlash? Loud. Many fans see Kingston & Woods as traitors, meaning even if Kofi had entered the match, the reaction would’ve been anything but positive.

Still, missing his signature match stings. Will Kingston get a chance to redeem himself? Or is WWE sending a message that the era of his highlight-reel Rumble saves is officially over?

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
