YEAH! That’s the sound of LA Knight proving, once again, that he’s WWE’s biggest Megastar.

Friday night on SmackDown, Knight didn’t just win—he conquered. After having his one-on-one shot at Shinsuke Nakamura’s U.S. Title mysteriously replaced by a tournament, Knight took matters into his own hands. First, he disposed of Santos Escobar in a qualifying match. Then, he outlasted Jacob Fatu and Carmelo Hayes in the main event, punching his ticket to another clash with Nakamura.

Triple Threat Carnage: LA Knight Finds a Way

The main event was pure chaos.

Jacob Fatu bulldozed through both of his opponents early on, because that’s just what Samoan dynasties do. But things got out of control when Knight and Hayes finally managed to neutralize him.

  • Knight launched Hayes out of the ring—but Fatu was waiting like a Samoan horror movie villain. He grabbed Hayes and launched him into the steel steps.
  • Knight went for a flying crossbody, but Fatu caught him mid-air and both men crashed through the announce table like a demolition derby.
  • Hayes took advantage, hitting his Nothing But Net leg drop on Knight. But before he could capitalize, Fatu soared in with a diving Swanton onto both men.

Just when it looked like Fatu had the match won, hitting an Impaler DDT and a massive moonsault on Hayes, Knight ripped him out of the ring, threw him aside, and stole the pin.

Classic Megastar move.

Knight vs. Nakamura: The Rematch Awaits

There’s no set date yet for the U.S. Championship showdown, but one thing’s for sure—Shinsuke Nakamura won’t be able to dodge LA Knight forever. After losing the title to Nakamura at Survivor Series, Knight has been on a mission to reclaim his gold.

And now, he’s finally got his shot.
