Folks, we are witnessing history! The WWE NXT Heritage Cup, once a sacred battleground of technical wrestling and British Rounds prestige, has now been stripped of all that pesky “tradition” by none other than Lexis King. And honestly? Brilliant move. Who needs complex rules when you can just… not have them?

King, who somehow keeps finding new ways to cut corners and still call himself a champion, simplified the rules of the Heritage Cup—turning it from a multi-round, technical masterpiece into a plain ol’ one-fall match. And what do you know? He keeps winning.

His latest victory? A successful defense against TNA’s JDC, the artist formerly known as Fandango. JDC controlled the match early on, reminding everyone he’s more than just a guy who dances. But in the end, King survived the onslaught and hit his trademark Coronation for the win. Because of course he did.

This all started back in December when King won the cup in the shadiest way possible, thanks to Charlie Dempsey getting betrayed by his own father, William Regal. A family betrayal on live TV? Never seen that before! Since then, Dempsey has been hunting down King, trying to reclaim what was rightfully his. After multiple matches—including a Sudden Death Rules match on January 7—King somehow kept the title.

And now? He’s changed the rules completely. No rounds. No extra complications. Just one fall to the finish, which conveniently works in his favor.

A champion who rewrites the rules to keep winning? Unbelievable. Unprecedented. Never seen before. (Except everywhere, all the time.)

The real question now is: who’s going to stop him?

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
