Monday Night Raw ended with Logan Paul defeating Rey Mysterio to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, ensuring that WWE’s premium live event in Toronto will have a healthy dose of Prime-fueled arrogance.
Despite Mysterio bringing his decades of experience (and about 75 different versions of his mask), it wasn’t enough to stop WWE’s favorite internet disruptor from securing the win.
Match Highlights: Logan Paul Does Logan Paul Things
- Rey Mysterio, ever the showman, had the crowd fired up and looked to finish Paul with the 6-1-9 late in the match.
- Unfortunately, Paul had other plans (and bigger boots)—dodging the ropes and catching Mysterio with a Big Boot that nearly sent the lucha legend back to 1997.
- Mysterio fought back, hit a sit-down powerbomb, and finally connected with the 6-1-9, but Logan shrugged it off like a YouTube controversy.
- One Paul-verizer later, and the social media superstar got the three-count, proving once again that life isn’t fair.
Pre-Match Antics: Logan Paul vs. CM Punk (Verbally, For Now)
Before stepping into the ring, Paul interrupted CM Punk to remind him of his Royal Rumble elimination at Logan’s hands.
“I had your number at the Rumble, Punk, and I got your number at the Elimination Chamber.”
Translation: Paul might be skipping wrestling school, but he’s acing his trash-talking exams.
To make things worse, he then mocked Rey Mysterio, calling him a “veteran” (translation: old) and saying he was “giving him 15 minutes of fame when he loses to Logan Paul.”
Elimination Chamber Just Got More… Influencer-y
With the win, Paul now joins CM Punk, John Cena, and Drew McIntyre in the Chamber, with two more spots left to fill.
Although Paul lost in last year’s Chamber match, he still walked into WrestleMania XL and defeated both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to retain the U.S. Championship, because sometimes real life is just one big heel storyline.
As for Mysterio? He’s been in three previous Chamber matches, with the last one happening in 2011—back when Logan Paul was still vlogging on Vine.
With six men stepping inside the unforgiving steel structure, the road to WrestleMania just got a lot more chaotic—and for better or worse, Logan Paul is right in the middle of it.
