It’s happening, folks. The dream of every fan who’s ever screamed “ZERO MIEDO!” at their TV while spilling nachos during a Lucha Bros match: WWE is planning to reunite Penta and Rey Fenix.
That’s right—Rey Fenix made his glorious WWE debut last month with more flips than a Black Friday mattress sale, and ever since then, fans have been itching for the masked brothers to reform Voltron, or in this case, their death-defying tag team.
Now according to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross “Scoop Machine” Sapp, the WWE creative team has confirmed that the reunion of the former AEW Tag Team Champs is not a matter of if, but “absolutely, yes.”
Which is corporate-speak for: “We’ve got the lucha gear on layaway.”
Sources inside creative also noted that while both brothers can stand on their own two masked feet, the money’s in the moment—that glorious, crowd-popping, lucha-laced reunion that’ll have Michael Cole shouting so hard his headset melts.
Last time these two went tag-teaming was during an episode of AEW Rampage in July, where they made Private Party look like Rental Property. But now, with both brothers in the WWE Universe (cue thunderclap and CGI lightning bolt), it’s only a matter of time before they unleash flippy chaos in either RAW or SmackDown’s tag scene—which, let’s be honest, could use a few extra ounces of adrenaline.
Let’s not forget:
✔️ Ring of Honor champs
✔️ MLW champs
✔️ House of Glory champs
✔️ AEW champs
✔️ Once had better chemistry than your last 3 relationships
WWE gold is the last Infinity Stone on their lucha gauntlet—and it’s coming.
