Well, well, well… look who’s suddenly a man of the people—but only when there’s no TV crew around.
Reports from Fightful Select reveal that Ludwig Kaiser—longtime Imperium enforcer and GUNTHER’s personal hype man—has been working as a babyface during WWE’s live events in his home country of Germany.
At recent house shows in Hannover and Dortmund, Kaiser picked up wins over Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, much to the delight of the German crowd who treated him like a national hero.
What’s the Catch?
As of now, this is strictly a live event experiment—meaning Kaiser is still very much a bad guy on TV. WWE could change course based on fan reactions during their European tour, but as of now, don’t expect a babyface turn on Raw just yet.
Where’s Kaiser’s Focus?
Despite not being booked for WrestleMania (yet), Kaiser has kept busy:
✅ Lost to Penta in a No Holds Barred match on Raw—where Penta made it clear he wants the Intercontinental Championship
✅ Defeated Penta & Pete Dunne in a Triple Threat match on February 24
✅ Beat Akira Tozawa on WWE Main Event at Madison Square Garden
Noticeably, he hasn’t been at GUNTHER’s side lately as the World Heavyweight Champion preps for Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41. Could this be the beginning of Kaiser’s own breakout moment?
For now, Kaiser gets cheers in Germany and boos everywhere else—which, to be fair, is the most pro wrestling thing possible.
