Folks, the AEW women’s division just got a whole lot meaner, and it’s all thanks to Megan Bayne, who has apparently decided that waiting for rivalries to build is for the weak.
Since debuting in the first-ever women’s Casino Gauntlet match, Bayne has been wrecking the competition, stacking wins against Hyena Hera and Maya World like Thanos collecting Infinity Stones. But last week, instead of simply basking in her dominance, Bayne saw Kris Statlander, thought, “Yeah, I’m gonna ruin her night,” and F-5’d her onto the floor like a woman possessed.
Tony Khan, being Tony Khan, immediately booked the match, because what better way to solve problems than by letting wrestlers legally fight on live television? So, this Tuesday on AEW Dynamite, it’s Megan Bayne vs. Kris Statlander in a match that should probably come with a health insurance clause.
And if Bayne wasn’t already making enough enemies, Thunder Rosa is also keeping tabs on her, meaning the AEW women’s division might be planning a collective intervention very soon.
