Folks, she’s back! After spending the last several months focusing on executive duties, reality TV, and presumably making sure Al Snow isn’t putting OVW’s budget into mannequin heads, Mickie James is lacing up the boots once again!

James will make her in-ring return at WrestleCon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 17, stepping into the ring against none other than Japan’s favorite swearing idol and professional chaos generator, Maki Itoh. That’s right—it’s Mickie James vs. The Cutest in the World herself, in what will be a first-time-ever matchup. Mickie’s been in the business for decades, but has she ever had to deal with headbutts and impromptu karaoke performances in the same match? Doubtful.

This will be James’ first bout in over seven months, with her last match dating all the way back to September 2024. Whether this is a one-off return or a full-on comeback remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—she won’t be spending her time mentoring future WWE stars on WWE LFG anymore. James was mysteriously replaced as a coach for Season 2 by Michelle McCool, which has caused quite the stir. Rumor has it, McCool’s spot was secured at the insistence of her husband, The Undertaker. You know, because nothing says “fair hiring process” like a tombstone piledriver of nepotism.

So, will Mickie James steal the show? Will Maki Itoh curse her out mid-match? Will someone force The Undertaker to explain why he’s booking reality TV now? So many questions, so little time.

Stay tuned, folks—this is WrestleMania weekend, and anything can happen.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
