In yet another twist to the 2025 Wrestling Multiverse Saga, former AEW star and former-former WWE star Miro (a.k.a. Rusev, a.k.a. The Bulgarian Brute, a.k.a. your ab machine’s final boss) has been spotted at WWE headquarters in Stamford—which, in wrestling terms, is like being caught on camera at your ex’s house holding a bouquet and a suitcase.

According to PWInsider, Miro isn’t just stopping by for a tour of the merch wall—he’s reportedly signed a new contract and is in town to hammer out the “how do we make it Rusev Day again without calling it that but still totally calling it that?” details. Interestingly, CJ Perry (Lana) was not seen at HQ, which raises the question: Is Miro returning solo, or is WWE prepping another “love triangle with a twist” storyline in the lab?

Miro’s return marks five years since he last graced a WWE ring, where he originally bulldozed his way through Florida Championship Wrestling, NXT, and eventually the main roster in 2014. He became a three-time U.S. Champion, battled the likes of John Cena and AJ Styles, and even drove a tank into WrestleMania—because why just walk into your push when you can roll in military-grade?

But despite all that early momentum, Miro’s WWE tenure fizzled out in 2020 amidst the COVID-era budget cut bloodbath, and he soon found refuge in AEW, where he won the TNT Championship and declared himself the “Redeemer” (which is basically a rebranding of “guy who beats you up and quotes scripture about it”).

Unfortunately, after dropping the TNT title in late 2021, Miro wrestled a total of 13 matches before seemingly vanishing from TV like an overbooked magician. Frustrated with creative (and probably watching Ricky Saints and Penta walk through the Forbidden Door with new merch deals), Miro requested his release, which was granted in February.

Now? He’s apparently heading back to WWE—a place that may or may not be ready for the re-re-re-reboot of Rusev Day. The question now: Will Miro pick up where he left off, or is this the start of a whole new monster push?

Either way, if a tank shows up on SmackDown this Friday… buckle up.
