AEW Collision started with a wrestling match. It ended with Nigel McGuinness flinging off his headset like a British Batman and going full chaos agent on FTR, all while referee Bryce Remsburg once again failed to keep a match from spiraling into a live-action bar fight.
🎙️ From Commentator to Combatant
Dax Harwood vs. Daniel Garcia was the scheduled main event, stemming from FTR’s heel turn that had Garcia feeling extra betrayed — like, “write a diss track and break your podcast contract” betrayed.
The match was stiff, bloody, and built to boil over. Harwood, bleeding by the third commercial break, got some not-so-subtle ringside assistance from Cash Wheeler and Stokely Hathaway, both of whom have mastered the art of standing nearby while clearly causing problems.
The match spilled into the crowd — as is AEW law — and eventually veered too close to the commentary desk, where McGuinness had just about enough British restraint left to say “Oi, no.” After Harwood gave him a shove, Nigel followed him into the ring and turned the commentary desk into a launch pad.
🥊 Nigel McGuinness: Full Send Mode
With the crowd roaring, Nigel McGuinness entered the ring and attacked Dax Harwood like a man who hadn’t gotten to clothesline someone in two weeks. Bryce tried to restore order. Instead, Cash Wheeler, Hathaway, and eventually Daddy Magic Matt Menard all turned it into a late-night indie mosh pit with headlocks.
Garcia recovered in time to join McGuinness, and together they sent FTR packing, probably right back to their anti-fan podcast studio.
🧠 A Brief Nigel Wrestling History Lesson
McGuinness, mostly on headset duty these days, has occasionally stepped back into the ring since 2024’s All In. He’s wrestled Bryan Danielson, Lee Moriarty, and now? He’s possibly coming for FTR’s knees and egos on a full-time basis.
