Folks, we are witnessing historic levels of boldness. On WWE NXT, Tavion Heights and Myles Bourne of No Quarter Catch Crew (NQCC) have officially called out the legendary Hardy Boyz for a match next week. That’s right—two men whose last recorded victory was back when people still cared about NFTs have decided to challenge Matt and Jeff Hardy, current TNA World Tag Team Champions and certified table-breaking pioneers.

It all went down when Sarah Schreiber was interviewing NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom (aka FrAxiom, because WWE loves smushing names together). Just as Frazer was probably preparing to say something inspiring, NQCC crashed the segment. Frazer assumed they wanted a shot at his titles, but no—these two had grander ambitions. Heights said they wanted to face “the best tag team in the world, possibly of all time,” before name-dropping The Hardys.

Now, normally when a young tag team calls out legends, it’s met with skepticism. But, to everyone’s surprise, Matt and Jeff Hardy accepted the challenge. That’s right—Matt took to social media and, alongside Jeff, admitted he was shocked to hear his name mentioned on NXT. But, flattered by the call-out, the brothers agreed to the match. Jeff, ever the showman, encouraged FrAxiom to grab front-row seats to witness the inevitable lesson in wrestling history.

It’s a bold move from NQCC, considering their last televised win was in December, and their last encounter with NXT gold ended in failure. Meanwhile, the Hardys have been reigning as TNA World Tag Team Champions since October, proving that experience (and a strong relationship with ladders) goes a long way.

Will Heights and Bourne pull off the biggest upset of the year, or will The Hardys remind them why they’ve been swanton-bombing people since dial-up internet? Either way, Cincinnati is in for a wild night.
