The wrestling multiverse just got weirder—WWE’s Natalya is heading to the NWA.

In a surprise announcement on Busted Open Radio, it was revealed that Natalya will be competing at the NWA Crockett Cup on May 17 at the legendary 2300 Arena (aka the ECW Arena) in Philadelphia. Shortly after, the NWA made it official on X, sending shockwaves through the wrestling world.

Wait… WWE & NWA Are Working Together?!

With WWE loosening its grip on the “forbidden door”, we’ve already seen crossovers with TNA, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and even Bloodsport. But WWE and NWA? That’s a whole new level of bizarre.

👉 WWE once was part of the NWA—way back in the 60s-80s before Vince McMahon took over and went full monopoly mode.
👉 They briefly worked together again in 1998, during the Attitude Era, but that fizzled out faster than an XFL relaunch.
👉 Now, Natalya—one of WWE’s longest-tenured stars—is about to step into an NWA ring for the first time ever.

Could this be a one-time thing? Or are WWE and NWA about to play nice again after decades of separation?

Natalya Goes Full Indie Tour Mode

Natalya isn’t just testing the indie waters—she’s diving in headfirst.

🔹 She’s already set to fight at Bloodsport during WrestleMania weekend, a brutal no-ropes, no-rules event.
🔹 Now, she’s heading to the Crockett Cup, one of NWA’s most prestigious events.
🔹 Her opponent hasn’t been announced yet, but given the NWA’s roster, she could end up facing anyone from a veteran brawler to a rising star.

For Natalya, this will be her first match outside of WWE since 2007, proving that even a WWE lifer can get a little restless.

What’s Next for WWE & NWA?

With WWE already working with TNA, NOAH, and independent promotions, could this be the start of something bigger?

If WWE and the NWA do strike a working relationship, what’s next?
🤯 AJ Styles in an NWA World Title match?
🤯 LA Knight cutting promos in an old-school NWA studio setting?
🤯 Triple H booking Nick Aldis to fight himself in a mirror for 60 minutes?

One thing’s for sure—2024 is the weirdest, most unpredictable year in wrestling yet.
