Washington, DC is about to experience more carnage than Congress during budget negotiations as WWE NXT rolls into town for Vengeance Day 2025. With six matches, three main roster stars, and a whole lot of people with grudges, it’s shaping up to be a beautiful mess of suplexes and shattered dreams.
The Full Card (or What’s Left of It After Tuesday’s Brawls)
NXT Championship – Oba Femi (c) vs. Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller
Oba Femi, aka “The Ruler,” is defending his title against A-Town Down Under, a duo so dysfunctional they make divorced couples look cooperative. Theory and Waller have been bickering like two kids fighting over the last juice box, and somehow, they think one of them will walk away as champion. Meanwhile, Femi, an actual powerhouse, is probably just waiting for them to tire themselves out before powerbombing them into the Earth’s core.
NXT Women’s Championship – Giulia (c) vs. Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade
Giulia might be the champ, but now she’s got to defend her title against a trio of chaos agents. Bayley, the veteran, is more unpredictable than a Twitter rebrand. Roxanne Perez is still salty about coming up short at the Royal Rumble, and Cora Jade? Well, she got added to this match last-minute, probably because NXT wanted maximum drama and minimum peace.
NXT Tag Team Championship – FrAxiom (c) vs. Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura
FrAxiom, a team with a name that sounds like a rejected cryptocurrency, will defend their tag team titles against Josh Briggs and a guy who looks like he was built in a lab to demolish people—Yoshiki Inamura. The champs are talented, sure, but they’re about to experience what happens when two big dudes decide “respect” is optional.
Strap Match – Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe
A feud built on rage, revenge, and apparently, a love of leather straps. Thorpe went full Indiana Jones and introduced the strap into their rivalry, using it to beat Trick Williams like he owed him money. Now they’ll be tied together for the match, meaning nobody is running away, only suffering.
Grudge Match – Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans
Ethan Page broke Je’Von Evans’ jaw, and now Evans is back, fueled by revenge and probably a lot of protein shakes. He had to sign a hold harmless agreement, which basically means if his jaw gets broken again, WWE just shrugs and says, “Oops”. Expect violence, lots of it.
NXT Women’s North American Championship – Fallon Henley (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer
Stephanie Vaquer earned this shot by winning a fatal four-way back in January, and now she’ll challenge Fallon Henley, who is probably wondering why she agreed to this. Both women are tough, but only one will walk away with the belt. The other will walk away wondering how they ended up getting kicked in the head so many times.
Where to Watch (Or How to Witness Madness in Real Time)
NXT Vengeance Day 2025 takes place Saturday, February 17, at 6 p.m. EST from the CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC. It’ll be live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally, proving once again that wrestling fans will follow the action anywhere, even if they have to borrow a cousin’s login.
Final Prediction: Chaos, betrayals, and at least one person questioning their life choices mid-match. Stay tuned.
