The road to Stand & Deliver just got potholes, fireworks, and a three-man traffic jam, as Oba Femi will defend his NXT Championship in a triple threat match against Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans—also known as: Past Beef, Present Smoke, and Future Regret.

Let’s break it down: Trick Williams has been demanding a rematch like it’s a refund at customer service, citing his knockout win over Eddy Thorpe in an Underground match (aka: “legal violence with worse lighting”). Meanwhile, Je’Von Evans has been climbing the ranks with New York City Street Fights, vendetta-fueled victories, and the kind of momentum that usually ends with someone being powerbombed into a folding table. Last week, he cemented his spot by doing the most direct form of resume building: knocking out the champ.

This week on NXT, Williams showed up giving motivational speaker energy—“they wanna see me fail!”—before gesturing backstage like a man about to summon either backup or bad decisions. Enter Evans, who promptly staked his claim to the title and the spotlight, only to be hit with a verbal haymaker by Trick, who accused him of having no idea what it takes to hold the gold.

Evans’ rebuttal? “You sound just like Carmelo Hayes when he tried to hold you down.” Cue audience gasp. Cue soap opera organ.

But just when it was about to turn into a podcast with punches, the champ himself Oba Femi arrived, said a whole lot without saying much at all (alpha behavior), and got all up in the drama. GM Ava came out to do her favorite thing—drop announcements like mic drops—and confirmed the match for Stand & Deliver.

Trick was not thrilled. He blindsided Evans, then launched into Femi like a man with something to prove and zero patience. But just when you thought it was done, Dark State slithered down to the ring like chaos-loving cryptids and took everyone out, reminding us that Stand & Deliver might just be the start of something darker.

I like ice cream, taking a back seat, wondering who I am, and pretending kayfabe is real. May or may not be the Real Dark Brandon. For the LOLZ. MALARKEY!
