You like your wrestling with rules? With structure? With enough rope breaks to make even Bryan Danielson blush?
ROH heard you.
And now, the ROH Women’s Pure Championship has officially joined the gold lineup — complete with its own ironclad, submission-centric ruleset and a shiny new belt that definitely doesn’t belong in a hardcore match.
The title was introduced last Friday during a tense interview segment featuring Serena Deeb and Queen Aminata — two women who are very much not here to play nice.
Lexy Nair, functioning as both broadcaster and chaos conductor, unveiled the new championship before both competitors verbally locked horns.
-
Deeb: “I’m the best pure wrestler in the world.”
-
Aminata: “Cool story. I’m the underdog — and that’s bad news for you.”
Mic drop pending.
Their match? Confirmed as the first round of the ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament, which will crown the inaugural champion exclusively on HonorClub. No other brackets or names have been revealed yet, but with ROH’s talent pool, expect a mix of technicians, tacticians, and possible tap-out machines.
Let’s talk rules, because this ain’t your average brawl:
-
🎗️ Three rope breaks per wrestler — use ’em wisely.
-
🚫 No outside interference — no cheating, no distractions, no chaos crews.
-
🥊 First closed-fist punch = warning. Second = disqualification.
-
🕰️ Draw? Judges decide the winner.
-
🧨 Title can change hands on a DQ.
In short: Pure wrestling. Pure focus. Pure consequences.
Will it be Deeb, the technical wizard with a resume longer than an AEW collision commercial?
Or Aminata, the queen of grit and unexpected upsets?
The road to history starts now — and somebody’s about to get purely humbled.
