If you listen closely, you can still hear a mama mia echoing in the T-Mobile Arena. In what may go down as NXT’s biggest betrayal since barbershop windows became a thing, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo turned on Tony D’Angelo at Stand & Deliver, leaving The Family broken, battered, and flat on the mat while DarkState stood victorious.

Yes, folks—Stacks whacked his own Don.

This wasn’t just a match. This was an Italian opera of deception, complete with crowbars, emotional manipulation, and a faction imploding live on Peacock.

The Match:

It started as a faction war—Tony D, Stacks, and Luca Crusifino vs. the rising shadows of DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James). The Family was already on shaky ground, with weeks of tension and missed retribution hanging over them like a marinara-stained fog.

DarkState dominated early, isolating Crusifino and slamming him into the exposed steel like a meatball into a brick oven. But The Family fought back—especially D’Angelo and Stacks, who slowly started to look like a team again.

Then came the crowbars.

The Turn:

Stacks told D’Angelo he had an idea—never a good sign in pro wrestling—and produced not one, but two crowbars. D’Angelo threw his aside, refusing to stoop to that level, and scolded his right-hand man for even thinking about it.

That moment of hesitation turned into a blur:

  • Shugars attacked Stacks.

  • James tried to use a crowbar, but the ref shut it down.

  • Stacks took out Shugars behind the ref’s back, creating a murky moral gray zone that had “incoming heartbreak” written all over it.

D’Angelo and Stacks came face to face again—heated, torn, and dangerous. D’Angelo hit a spinebuster on James. Stacks handed over his crowbar to the referee. Redemption? Nope. Distraction.

As D’Angelo turned his back, Stacks struck with a low blow heard ‘round Las Vegas. He rolled out of the ring like a made man walking away from the family business.

DarkState hit their finisher. Pinfall. Victory. Betrayal complete.

The Family is now in shambles, DarkState is rising fast, and Tony D’Angelo just learned what happens when your right-hand man becomes a backstabbing boss of his own fate.
